Training “Application of Negotiation Methods at EU Institutional Level to Represent Lithuanian Interests in the European Union”

Client: Lithuanian Institute of Public Administration, 2014/12 – 2015/07

The aim of this training project was to create a training program that would allow Lithuanian civil servants, newly admitted to the institutions’ EU affairs coordination units or new positions in the EU decision-making system, to acquire theoretical knowledge of EU negotiation and practical skills in negotiating methods. After assessing the training needs of civil servants, ESTEP trainers prepared a 32 academic hours training program “Application of Negotiation Methods at the Level of EU Institutions, Representing Lithuania’s Interests in the European Union”. During the project, 13 training sessions were organized.

The new knowledge and skills acquired during the training allowed Lithuanian civil servants to operate effectively in the EU decision-making system and to successfully represent the country’s interests in the EU.
